Hi! I’m Pete, I’m 31, and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I was born and raised here. I’ve lived in several different cities across the west coast. I have had the opportunity to explore several amazing career options and hobbies, but food has always been a lifelong passion. Up until a few years ago, I actively struggled with eating disorders. As a child and well in to my adolescence I was overweight. I binge ate, and yo-yo dieted. The habitual dieting eventually lead me to more extreme habits and around the age of 25 I was purging pretty much everything I ate. I struggled with severe bulimia, orthorexia, and body dysmorphia from that point until my late 20s. I was hospitalized several times and living in a state of constant depression. After the pandemic hit, I was forced to focus on my health. I hit my lowest point both mentally and physically in 2020. I was able to seek help thanks to my amazing wife and have since been adamant about breaking this awful cycle. I have decided to embrace my love of food, fitness, and travel with as much passion as I can. I feel it is necessary for me to document my recovery and perspective in order to help those struggling with similar issues.
